Members Do Well In The Stithians Show!

An invitation was issued to allotments in the Falmouth area from The Stithians Show Secretary and the sponsoring local solicitors, Hine Downing to enter a new class at the Stithians Show this year. It was a closed section which only allotment members were was able to enter. Despite the feeling that perhaps our entries were not of the highest standards associated with Stithians Show we presented ourselves very well. Thanks due to Sally and Grant Mather and Beryl and Tom Greenaway for the time they spent at the showground setting out our entries.

We are grateful to Hine Downing for sponsoring this event and providing cash prizes for our members.

It has been suggested that next year could take the form of an inter-allotment competition—this will require the encouragement of our top growers to enter and win the honours for our Society.
